XBRL US supports the release of the final joint rule for the Financial Data Transparency (FDTA) Act.
FDTA goals align with XBRL US’ mission to improve reporting through a free, open standard that satisfies FDTA data transmission properties, supports business to government reporting programs like SBR, and optimizes machine learning tools.
Approved Validation Rules
The Data Quality Committee approved version 29 of freely-available rules and guidance in March. There are now 185 automated checks helping US GAAP and IFRS filers detect and resolve inconsistencies or errors in XBRL-formatted financials before submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
